Looking for friendship

Osiyo, I am 1/16th Cherokee, I have the Spirit of a Native American deep inside. I am learning about my Cherokee Heritage, language, traditions, culture and hopefully one day to live the Native American way of life. I enjoy the great outdoors and Mother Nature at her best, walking in the rain, getting my feet wet in a creek or kyaking/canoing down a river, country living and the simple life, healthy eating. Reading a good novel, biography or something to do with a historical event, getting down to the truth of the matter, listening to good music from the Big Band Era to Southern Rock. I do not listen to Rap, Hip/Hop, Grung, Alternative and the like. I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, especially Nature trails, parks and Sanctuaries, taking hikes and going off the beaten path as you find so much more that is appealing to eye when you choose the beaten path. I was born and raised in the South and believe in a lot of the old Southern traditions, which parallels with a lot of the Native American traditions in regards to manners, repect, honesty, hard work, pride and honor to ones family. I have started my "Bucket List" as there are things that I would like to do and see before I "kick the bucket." Most of it has to do with enjoying life to the fullest and to do things that I was unable to do due to family responsibility, which is always first and foremost. Since my family is now grown and they have their own family, it is now "me" time. Time for me to do the things that I have always wanted to do but was unable to because my children came first and I wanted to make sure they enjoyed their childhood and do the things they wanted to do in school to make those years memorial. I have no regrets in my choice, as now I am old enough to know my limits and still young enough to enjoy and remember my adventures. Donadagohvi
