"A brave man dies but once, a coward many times."
"It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctively native American criminal class except Congress." - Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)
"What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected." *
Just to clarify, I am NOT a Native American, I'm merely me and quite happy with that /smiles.
I'm here to learn. I am a strong believer in the relationship of all humanity (and life in general). The realisation of which, may inform and guide us better regarding the need for alternative solutions to war and conflict. We are oppressing none but ourselves...the sooner we realise this, the sooner we can change, so that our children may be left to live in a world better than the one we live in.
Like so many others I am also interested in the history of Native Americans, not the romanticised view presented by Hollywood, nor the false image of the "noble savage", but the actual history of the various tribes that came to populate the North American continent before other humans. There is great wisdom running through the history of many of the tribes, that correlate with other truths and wisdom discovered by other people, other relations, the world over. The more we learn about each other, the more we learn about ourselves...or so I believe. Walk in peace!
